We are so excited here at And Mary as it's international puppy day and we just want to spend our day with armfuls of puppies. Puppy day was set up in 2006 by Colleen Paige to celebrate the magic and unconditional love of puppies and raise awareness of orphan puppies around the world, what a brilliant day!
We love cute, cuddly puppies, just look at these little heartbreakers!
We have a growing family of porcelain pups in our collection, from yorkie earrings, to frenchie necklaces. What is your favourite piece?
Our latest addition is a gorgeous collie pup and we would like to give him a name, so we thought we would run a competition to win a collie pup necklace.

Saturday sees the popular celebration of Guy Fawkes Night, also known as Bonfire night. Originally dating back to affairs in 1605, nowadays we celebrate the day with bonfires, fireworks and tucking into toffee apples whilst sipping warm drinks and waving sparklers.
If you are planning on lighting your own bonfire this year, please make sure you check for hedgehogs and other wildlife before you light it! To a hedgehog a bonfire looks like a great spot to hibernate, built just for them, especially if it has been piled up a few days before lighting. Use a torch and a broom handle or stick to check underneath the bonfire to ensure it is clear of any animals. To find out more about hedgehogs click here. If you're a fan of hedgehogs then you'll love our cute hedgehog necklace, seen below, or something from our Woodland collection may take your fancy.
If you do find a hedgehog, use garden gloves or a towel to place them, and as much of their nest as possible, into a high sided cardboard box and put them somewhere secure such as a garage or shed until the bonfire has been burnt. You can offer them water and meaty cat or dog food, and once the bonfire has dampened down release them under a hedge or bush with some more food and water.
Although us humans enjoy the festivities, remember that fireworks can be frightening for pets, especially dogs and cats. To ensure they remain as calm as possible, keep them indoors with the radio or TV on low to mask the bang of the fireworks and if possible provide a cosy den for them to hide in if they want to.

If you're signed up to our mailing list or following us on social media, you may have noticed that recently we've added some new And Mary family members. Our AW16 collection includes several new dog and cat pieces, from apricot poodles to ginger cats.
Our new Beagle Puppy needed a name, so we held a competition to help us find one. After many brilliant suggestions, including Bagel and Bailey, we decided that the winner was Barkley the Beagle. The lucky winner will be receiving their very own Barkley the Beagle necklace to wear with pride.
Taking inspiration from Finley, the adorable miniature dachshund who is part of the Ohh Deer family (you should check out their website!), we have a new dachshund puppy available in black or brown. Finished with a hand tied black bow, this little puppy would make a perfect gift for any dachshund lover - Christmas is right around the corner!
The sitting schnauzer is the perfect size to be worn with any outfit. Wear on a shorter chain to really show the piece off, or for a more subtle look go for a longer chain. Be careful though, all of these pieces are made from porcelain and should be treated with care!
Our cute new poodle heads are available in stud earrings and as a necklace. You have the choice of three colours; apricot, black or white. Which will you pick?
If you're dotty for dalmatians then our new dalmatian head earrings and necklace are for you. Wear them together to make a statement, or individually to subtly show your appreciation for dalmatians.
